Extraordinary antique corsets sold at on-line auctions

(Which I do not own but really, really wish I did)

Below is a collection of the extraordinary.

Sold and gone into a private collection somewhere,

much too beautiful to be forgotten.

Red silk satin w/ red lace embroidered w/ black silk floss, original laces, never worn, stamped: "L.C. a la Persephone Marque Deposee", paper glued-in label, B 30", W 22", CF 14", perfect.

Sold on e-Bay Live Auctions in October 2004

Thank you to Melanie of Lace Embrace who now owns this exquisite corset!

Wool and linen stays dating to 1760-80, likely American. An extremely rare rose color wool lined in blue and buff checked inner lining, with kid leather edging.

Sold on e-Bay in October 2004 for $2,324.52

Sold on e-Bay in July of 2005 for $2,575.00

Circa 1890s black sateen corset with unusual pink flossing. Labeled "Best Watch Spring Steel"

Sold on e-Bay in October of 2004 for $420.00

This lovely black corset with elaborate gold flossing, embroidery and top stitching has a tiny 20" waist. I believe it to be from the 1880s but may be 1870s or 1890s.

Sold on e-Bay in December of 2005 for $920.00

Thank you to Christine Hall for the use of her photos!

Honestly, this web site is a bit expensive.

If you would like to help I would greatly appreciate any amount you can give
