"SPG" brand corset with a 25" waist

(The brand "SPG" is new to me, if you have any info on the company it stands for I'd love to know)

This corset is extraordinarily stiff, heavily starched. It also has a strong dished underbusk.

An underbusk is a heavier steel bone, about 1" wide added in it's own casing beneath the busk itself. It's purpose it to support and strengthen the busk itself and to serve as a placket to prevent pinching. See third photo down on the right for details.
