American Beauty brand over-bust corset with it's original box. Most corsets of this period were cut to just below the bust. The corset manufacturers made many different types to suit individual tastes. This corset was washed with an oxygen type cleaner. Such cleaners do very well with whitening cottons, however, the 92 year old rust trapped within the bone casings is released with the water. I do not know how to remove the rust stains. Please do not wash your antique corset. |
