Circa 1907 Edwardian Corset

Inventory #0137

(Sold, no longer in my possession.)

Royal Worcester Corset

Style #409 with a 24" waist

Corset is constructed from a single layer of cotton "sateen jean" with flat felled seams. 12" strait busk set within a 13" center front length. A delicate lace trims with ribbon insertion trims the upper edge. Corset bones are set within casings applied to the interior of the corset, over a 3/4" inch cotton twill waist tape. Corset is cut from five panels and a bust gore.

This corset was featured in the 1907 Royal  Worcester catalog "The Blue Book". The image and description are shown below in the photos. The catalog is not included in the price and is not for sale..

Corset has some rust staining  and the garters have lost nearly all stretch. One busk clasp is coming loose. I believe the corset lacing is original to the corset.
