18th century style Milkmaid

(or a romantic ideal of what an 18th century milkmaid might have worn)

Completed in 1994

Tapestry corset-bodice was built using an 18th century corset pattern. Bodice is trimmed with a black braid and has an attached false chemise. Attached sleeves of crinkled cream silk. Underskirt of striped linen with black lace border. Overskirt of olive green linen with a hand painted border. This gown is not period accurate but is a romantic ideal of what an 18th century milkmaid might wear

I made this for myself and it is not for sale.
